Amazing green place, full of wildlife and flowers. A lot of activities to make, but also perfect for just resting. Food is also great, and the fact that it's all inclusive is super relaxing

Spent the week with the love of my life, everything was perfect. Waking up to the lake view in a rustic room, romantic walks around the lake, sitting in front of the firepit after dinner. Loved our room, loved the bathtub in the middle of the room, the balcony, and the service. Foods were great, hotel standard, with good varieties. Will definitely come back for years to come.

Review of Sierra Lago Resort, Mexico Sierra Lago Resort is a stunning hidden gem nestled in the mountains of Mexico, perfect for those looking to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Surrounded by lush nature, this tranquil retreat offers breathtaking scenery, making it an ideal place to relax and unwind. One of the highlights of Sierra Lago is the variety of outdoor activities available. Guests can go horseback riding, take peaceful hikes through the surrounding forests, or simply enjoy the serene beauty of the lake. The atmosphere is calm and rejuvenating, making it a fantastic escape for nature lovers. The restaurant at the resort offers excellent food, with fresh ingredients and well-prepared dishes. However, a bit more variety in the menu would elevate the dining experience even further. Overall, Sierra Lago Resort is a perfect place for those seeking peace, relaxation, and a deep connection with nature. Whether you’re exploring the trails, riding horses, or simply enjoying the quiet surroundings, it’s an unforgettable retreat.

Gorgeous place, I was pleasantly surprised by the beauty of this place, you can spend the whole day admiring the beautiful mountains and the lake, and you can do kayaking, pedal boarding, or just for a long walk around the lake. You should bring a bicycle with you, is a nice thing to do. They have gorgeous cabins for rent or you can bring your own tent and camp, they also have a restaurant open to the public. To get there is a very small road from Mascota, better have a good car for peaked and very narrow gaps, it’s also difficult because is made with one car line, so when you find a car in it, you should find a way to get out of the way.

One of the most beautiful places which I am visited in my life.Believe me I see a lot. Don’t put attention on the bed reviews, checked all and all unreasonable. Accommodation,food,service-no one complaint. Meat and fish quality-amazing (probably from local suppliers) You have what to do! Stayed 3 days and can stay longer. Horses, fishing, kayaking, steam room, massage, tennis, pool, snooker and mach more.NO EXTRA CHARGES (except massage) Left morning early. The stuff prepared breakfast to go!Extremely nice. If you drive yourself be careful.Road up to the mountain required experience. No low clearance vehicles!!!

My recent stay at Sierra Lago in Mascota, Jalisco, was a mix of breathtaking beauty and frustrating operational issues. The Positives: The property itself is undeniable quality. The reception area exudes luxury, and the gardens are impeccably maintained, creating a perfect atmosphere for relaxation. The cabins are very comfortable and cozy. I was also pleased to see that the horses on the property are very well cared for. I must highlight the attitude of the staff; everyone I interacted with was excellent and very friendly. The Negatives: Unfortunately, the management seems to be letting the staff down. There were days when the team was clearly understaffed and overworked, which led to very slow service, particularly with a la carte food delivery. The design of "La Capilla" restaurant is also problematic; it seems poorly planned, as the sun hits you directly in the face regardless of where you sit. Finally, I was very disappointed that they did not honor the Black Friday room upgrade promotion. They claimed it was "subject to availability," a condition that was not disclosed on the website at the time of purchase. Verdict: A beautiful place with potential, but they need to fix their staffing levels and be more transparent with their promotions.

Sierra Lago is absolutely beautiful, tranquil, and does help you to completely relax and unplug. It is all inclusive as it is in the middle of nowhere so there are not any other dining options. The food was ok (could be better) however times when the food was available was very late in my opinion. Good activities available, service could be improved, as well as room cleanliness, otherwise great for a weekend escape.

Where should I start? A unique environment that high up the mountain you don't expect that variety of flora and fauna. All fed by a mountain lake. A nice heated swimming pool. Lovely cabanas hidden in nature. Not fancy but still a luxury version from the ordinary cabanas you'll find in México. Decent beds. Very important to me. Just a very unique place to relax.
